  • Provided people with work and income through the creation of different projects.
  • Reparing public buildings such as school and building schools were involved.
  • People cleaned up towns, forests, etc.
  • Improved conditions and morale of the people.

What were the effects of the program on the ecomony?
  • It was a little more expensive then directly paying people of economic relief.
  • People were getting payed to do these projects which in turned stimulated the economy.
  • Stimulated private businesses.
